My Heart's Desire
Finding Inspiration
I'm Pastor Darryl King, a Pastoral Counselor with Ashes to Beauty Counseling, and I've seen firsthand how pornography, compulsive sexual behavior, and sex addiction can devastate men, their marriages, and their faith. Moved by recent research showing how widespread pornography has become in the church, I've committed myself to walking alongside men toward freedom with compassion and without condemnation. I offer a safe place to tell the truth, and I work to help men understand the deeper wounds beneath their struggles and find lasting healing in Christ. I hold fast to God's promise of beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3), and I believe no man's story is beyond redemption.

Why Me
Brother, if you're reading this, you're probably carrying something heavy. Maybe it's a secret you've kept for years. Maybe it's a battle you've fought and lost more times than you can count. Maybe you're tired of promising God, your wife, and yourself that this time will be different. I want you to know you're not alone, and you don't have to keep fighting by yourself.
I won't pretend to know your struggle from the inside. What I know is what I've seen. I've sat with men whose marriages were breaking, whose ministries were at risk, and whose hope was nearly gone because of pornography, compulsive sexual behavior, and sex addiction. I've watched shame isolate good men and convince them they were beyond help. Those experiences broke my heart. They also stirred a calling in me.
As recent research keeps showing how far pornography has spread among Christian men, and even into the pulpit, I could no longer stand on the sidelines. I've committed myself to walking alongside men toward freedom, with compassion and without condemnation. My aim is to help you understand the deeper wounds beneath the behavior and to find real, lasting healing in Christ.
At Ashes to Beauty Counseling, you'll find a safe place to tell the truth, a pastor who will listen without judgment, and a path forward rooted in grace. God's promise still stands: He gives beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3).
Your story isn't over. Let's take the next step together.
